At first glance, I thought this coat was from the 80s but a quick look at the label, rayon lining, construction and hooks definitely dates it from the late 40s/early 50s, and apart from a few spots on the lining, it is in perfect condition (and those spots might come out after a cleaning!!) There is zero shedding or stiffness. The body of the coat is thick, lush, and so so soft. The lining is durable black rayon, and there are two straps for your arms so the coat doesn't slip off your shoulders when worn open in front. One of my favorite features are the snap buttons on the sleeves, which allow the oversized sleeves to hang open below the elbow, creating slits for your forearms, and there are pockets on both sides of the coat. Finally, to save the best for last - look at the scalloped hem on this beauty. This coat is truly a one-of-a-kind. Label: Towne Furs
