My good friend Sara is a bad ass business owner who has been hustling and creating an awesome vintage biz. Supporting her means helping creative independent businesses stay in Durham! Please contribute!

We'd be lucky to have her open shop in this rapidly developing town. By donating we can keep it cool & accessible for those who have been working their asses off to make it that way. Also, Sara is a lovely human, so there's that.
About Gibson Girl Vintage
My name is Sara Spissu. I created Gibson Girl in 2011, but I started collecting vintage in 1997. Every piece in the shop is original, dating from the 1800s thru the 1990s, and most of my collection is locally sourced from North Carolina, so as to practice what I preach and shop local. My passion for buying and selling vintage grew out of a distaste for what was available in most department stores and the sartorial status-quo of my small hometown in VA. I pined for all things one-of-a-kind and began hunting for alternative fashion to better suit my style. Over the years, my enthusiasm and eye for vintage grew from a hobby to what has become a passionate way of life and fulfilling career that revolves around sustainable fashion and self-expression. And this is the true inspiration for my shop: to create a collection that is both high-quality and eco-friendly without compromising one's individual sense of style, so you too can better express your inner self & its sui generis nature. I hope you like my shop & find something just for you!
